Growing up among the architectural marvels in the center of Rome, where she still lives, the life of Gioia Capolei has been enriched by tales of a lineage which includes musicians, singers, and painters.

Through the years, many artists came and went through her home. Listening to their reveries was like hearing a fairy tale, letting the mind and fantasy run wild as the imagination takes its flight.

Surrounded by pencils, tracing paper, and colors, Gioia Capolei has absorbed these objects and gestures, refining her creative skills as she took stock of her world.

Gioia Capolei began her career working as a jewelry designer with industry leaders, collecting numerous international awards in jewelery competitions.

Her design work soon led her to meet with different and multi-faceted realities of the Italian and international jewelry industry, allowing her to deepen her knowledge of the dynamics of her field.

Parallel to her jewelry designs, Gioia Capolei is also an educator. Throughout her ongoing collaboration with IED - European Institute of Design in Rome she has been engaged in offering students a rich design methodology, full of creative ideas and attentive to new trends in the jewelery field.

As of 2016, Gioia Capolei is also the Vice President of OTP - Officine di Talenti Preziosi.

Today, besides her work as jewelry designer for third parties, Gioia Capolei designs and produces different collections in metal and natural stones.

One of the works she is most proud of is “The Desert Rose”, a bronze accessory collections, featured in several publication.
